they analyzed and compared the personalities of “cat-people” and “dog-people” in five aspects.

“Cat people” score more than “dog people” by 11% in this aspect.
Those who score higher in openness to experience
are often more willing to try out new things. They would think out-of-the-box, and are usually more artistic.

“Dog people” score more than “cat people” by 11% in this aspect.
Those who score higher in conscientiousness
are often more self-disciplined, organized and detail-minded.

“Dog people” score more than “cat people” by 15% in this aspect.
Those who score higher in extraversion
are often more willing to spend time with others, and are usually more energetic.

“Dog people” score more than “cat people” by 13% in this aspect.
Those who score higher in agreeableness
are often more kind, empathetic and likely to believe in others.

“Cat people” score more than “dog people” by 12% in this aspect.
Those who score higher in neuroticism
often experience more fluctuations in emotions and are usually more sentimental.
